Did you know...

Zines are usually homemade magazines.

They're often designed by one person or a small group. Some focus on one topic, while others ramble about whatever's on the creator's mind. Some are printed and/or assembled at home, or at the local copy shop.

They generally have a less polished, homogenized look than regular magazines.

It's pretty difficult to generalize about zines... which is part of the point, of course.

Mailart (aka mail art) is art sent through the mail, usually via the postal service. It's generally seen by everyone who handles the mail, en route.
Artistamps are faux postage. They look like 'real' postage stamps, but they're actually created by artists, and often aren't legal postage.
